January 6, 2007 Meeting Minutes

Skip Weir called the meeting to order at 12:20PM.

Kathy read the minutes from the last meeting. The December 16, 2006 minutes were corrected to read under Treasurer's Report: "Report to be read at a later date." And under Old Business: "Skip will call Linda to set up a meeting so any questions the audit committee has can be answered."

Darla made a motion to accept the minutes as corrected. Pete seconded. Motion passed.

Secretary Report: Kathy will mail checks this week to Linda for the Christmas dinner and Donna Carlson's membership application fee.

Treasurer Report: No report.

Committees:

Karen announced Eric White will be judging Sunday at our Specialty in Canfield 2007. Prudence Hlatky will be doing Sweeps on Sunday. Kathy will mail a confirmation letter to her. Friday Kim Balder will be doing Sweeps. Discussion followed.

Audit: Skip hasn't called Linda to setup up a time for Howard and Pete to audit the books. He will call her this week.

Old Business:

Officers: The nominating committee sent a letter to Club Secretary Kathy Ausse with the slate as follows:
President: Skip Weir
Vice President: Darla Wilk
Treasurer: Linda Richard
Secretary: Kathy Ausse
Board of Directors: Sandi Peterson
Karen Weir
Howard West

Since there was no opposition the Secretary cast the vote for the Club for the Officers and Board of Directors.

Supported Entries: GCNEC will be supporting The Steele Valley Cluster in Canfield OH. Howard will do trophies for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Darla and Kathy will do trophies for the Specialty on Sunday. Members wanting to donate for any of the 3 days prior to the Specialty should contact Howard.

Karen needs the list by February.

New Business: Sacramento Sierra Norwegian Elkhound Club will hold their Specialty April 13, 2007. GCNEC received a letter solicit ting trophy donations. Discussion followed. Darla made a motion to donate $50.00 to the trophy fund. Sandi seconded. Motion passed. Linda will send a check for $50.00 to Rita Burson SSNEC (Sacramento Sierra Norwegian Elkhound Club) 1460 Robbers Ravine Rd., Colfax, CA 95713.

New Members:

Darla read Donna Carlson's application. Darla made a motion to accept Donna's membership. Sandi seconded. Motion passed. Welcome Donna Carlson.

Next meeting: Karen suggested the next meeting be held in February at the Eat N Park in Streetsboro, OH. The Perkins GCNEC has used to have meetings is now closed. Karen will call Eat N Park to reserve the room. Kathy will email the meeting notice.

Darla made a motion to adjourn. Donna seconded. Motion passed.
